Verb, present active indicative, 3rd person singular

to work together, help in work, be a partner in labor: 1Co 16:16; 2Co 6:1…
Strong’s
to be a fellow-worker, i.e. co-operate
Why “Rightly”
“Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 BSB
The King James has “rightly dividing the word of truth.” Behind both is ὀρθοτομέω (G3718) — in Thayer’s, first of all, “to cut straight.” It is the straight line through the open book in our mark, and the reason for our name.
In the first release
Everything you need at the verse you are on.
The Berean Standard Bible
A clear, modern translation set for long reading: one column, quiet typography, nothing competing with the text.
Tap any word
See the Greek or Hebrew word behind it, its dictionary form, a plain-English parsing, its Strong’s number, and the lexicon entries from BDB, Thayer’s and Strong’s — with a count of every occurrence.
Commentaries beside the verse
Matthew Henry, Jamieson-Fausset-Brown, Barnes’ Notes and Calvin, anchored to the verse you are reading rather than buried in another book.
Notes and highlights
Write a note on a verse or a passage, highlight as you read, and find both on your other devices.
Fully offline
Reading and word study live on your phone. No signal on the plane or in the back of the sanctuary? It all still works.
Principles
Trustworthy by construction.
It never makes up a parse or a source.
Every word study comes from tagged Greek and Hebrew data and published lexicons. If the data does not say it, Rightly does not either.
Core reading and study are free, forever.
The Bible, the original-language tools, the commentaries and your notes are not a trial.
No ads.
Nothing is sold against your attention, and your study is not anyone’s product.
